Now available, in beta, Adobe Illustrator for Apple Silicon

Adobe Illustrator

As the months go by, the guys at Adobe update each and every one of the applications they offer on the market to make them natively compatible with Apple's M1 processors. A few weeks ago, they released the final version de Adobe Photoshop, a version that still lacks many functions to add.

Now it's the turn of Adobe Illustrator, an application whose first beta is now available and that it comes three months after the first betas that Adobe Premiere Pro, Premiere Rush and Audution, implying that Illustrator is Adobe's ugly duckling.

As in previous betas, Adobe states that the first beta of Illustrator compatible with Apple's M1 processors includes many of the basic functions of the version for Intel processors and that as the months go by, the rest of the functions will be implemented so that users do not have to continue using Rosetta 2 for specific functions.

Until now, users had to use Apple's Rosetta 2 emulator to run Adobe Illustrator on Macs powered by Apple's M1 processors. As with Photoshop, Illustrator doesn't just offer a faster performance, but also, the reliability has also increased, according to what they say from Adobe.

If you are Adobe Creative Cloud users and you have one of Apple's new computers with an ARM processor, you can now download this new version on your computer through the Creative Cloud Desktop application, where they are also available in the rest of the betas that, for now, are available from the rest of the applications of this developer.
