Surprisingly, although it was highly anticipated, the Chinese hacking team Pangu has released an update to its tool that allows jailbreak iOS 9.1 devices. The tool, which is available for both Mac and Windows, allows users to "jailbreak" their iPad, iPhone and iPod. But even more interesting is the promise made by the team that next week it will release a jailbreak for the 4th generation of Apple TV.

But unfortunately for many, there is also negative news, and that is that Apple stopped signing iOS 9.1 at the end of December, which means that anyone who is not yet running iOS 9.1, you will no longer be able to downgrade to that particular version of iOS.
Pangu has acknowledged that the bug used in 9.1 to make the jailbreak it was patched by Apple with the release of iOS 9.2. In other words, I no longer had anything to lose by releasing this new update to the tool, but I could give the few users who still have iOS 9.1 the opportunity to enjoy it on their devices.
The Pangu team has especially appreciated the work of Jung Hoon Lee, nicknamed Lokihardt, a security expert from South Korea, well known in hacker circles. Lee had already won a huge reward in the 2 Pwn2015Own hacking contest.

Working on the jailbreak for Apple TV 4
What exists for iOS 9.1 It is still good news, at least for the fans of this tool, however, the news of a jailbreak for Apple TV 4 it is much more interesting. On his official Twitter account, Pangu noted that it will be released for tvOS 9.ox next week.
We will release jb for Apple TV4 (9.0.x) next week which only has SSH access. It's mainly for security researchers and jailbreak developers.
