Office 2015 for Mac rears its head

This week is making headlines for Microsoft in regards to the renewal of the productivity suite for Mac, and the first details of the new Office 365, OneDrive and SharePoint cloud hosting are appearing just a few days after seeing some screenshots of Outlook for Mac filtered on the network.

Today's news comes from a Chinese website in which screenshots have been leaked of what Office 2015 for Mac will look like and although it is true that it will be for Mac the look, interface and design of the suite is entirely Windows. This is not to say that it is bad, it is simply that after seeing some changes in Outlook we expected that the new Office 2015 suite would also be modified with the look of OS X, but this does not seem to be so.

The most used today, Word and Excel, we can say that despite having more than four years without updating they work perfectly on my Mac, but it is evident that when you do an update after so long it is interesting or at least it seems to me, to adapt a little to the new interface and this does not seem to happen with Office.

At the moment the roadmap and possible launch according to the images that we have leaked on the network place it for the Q1-Q2 of 2015, but no one can accurately predict a date for its launch. The detail that they are old images we see in the leaked captures themselves and that is that SkyDrive is a file name that Microsoft had to change for legal reasons and does not appear in the new Office. Whatever the new Office for Mac is rearing its head in the purest Windows style, we will follow the progress of this leak.
