After the rumors about the launch of the new MacBook Pro by Apple in a keynote that would take place next October, specifically the 24 of this month, we have started to work to detail the dates of the latest Apple launches in previous years. After seeing the release dates we were surprised to see that Apple does not release on the month of October a new Mac from the iMac and Mac mini that were launched in October 2014. This is not significant at all since Apple can surprise us today with a simple keynote at any time, but this shows that there are no longer those bars marked in the company and now a product can be launched whatever it is, anytime.

The dates of presentation or renewal of the Macs are the following:

  • Mac Pro: redesigned and released on 19 December 2013
  • MacBook Pro retina: redesigned thinner on 5th May of 2015
  • MacBook: renewed without presentation in April 2016
  • MacBook Air: RAM added without introduction on April 19, 2016
  • iMac: new Retina displays on October 2015
  • Mac mini: redesigned and released on 16 October 2014

The truth is that if the changes that are appearing in the rumors are really added, it would not surprise us at all if Apple made a specific keynote for the presentation of the new MacBook Pro and maybe other Macs. We do not rule out a renewal in the Mac Pro range either. and Mac mini, computers that have not seen an update in a long time and now would be a good time to do so. In any case, we have to keep waiting and seeing where the rumors advance but also seeing the date of presentation of financial results for the end of October, specifically on the 27th, makes us think that two events so close together is not usually normal at Apple. We'll see what happens.
