The first museum dedicated entirely to Apple in Spain opens

Cáceres is in luck, because from today it is possible to visit the first Apple museum in Spain in the city of Extremadura. There are many science and computer museums, but this one is intended only for the Mac of the company with the bitten apple. The idea arises from a passionate about Mac computers, who collected as a collection those computers that were discarded by universities and colleges and that he himself repaired or restored. The visit to the museum serves to see the beginnings of Apple, many of them broke the aesthetics of the market, and from another perspective, we can see how technology has advanced over the years.

In the exhibition we will observe more than 40 computers from the last 40 years. Equipment as emblematic for the company as the Apple I, until the last G5. The person who has carried out this initiative is Carlos Izquierdo, who has been collecting Mac computers for 20 years. At first, he decided to keep certain equipment as just something old and collectible, but now he wants to improve the exposure by buying new equipment.

In the collection We can enjoy, in addition to the aforementioned Apple I and G5, such Vintage equipment as Apple Lisa, Macintosh, Apple II, original from the year 77, and the 20th Anniversary Mac. The latter are the models that are most difficult to obtain, as they are unique pieces of great value. The manager's efforts include institutes in the United States, to get little-known equipment in Spain or Europe, even by true Apple fans.

Plus, as a computer restorer, you're getting all your computers up and running. In a way, it is not an inert museum, but rather try to convey what technology was like 20 years ago, to show visitors the huge technological advancement.

If you want to visit the museum, it is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 14pm and from 18pm to 21pm, except on Sunday when it opens from 11am to 14pm. You can also visit it on your own or sign up for a guided tour.
