CBS recently interviewed Larry Ellison, founder of one of the most influential tech companies as is Oracle. In that interview, he was asked about his opinion of Apple in the post-Jobs era with Tim Cook at the helm, his response being rather hopeless with a very forceful "we already know.

The network's interviewer, Rose, asked Ellison directly about this fact, trying to delve a little deeper into the question to reach the conclusion from the interviewee's point of view that the evolution of Apple throughout history with and without Steve Jobs has bowed in favor of Jobs's vision clearly.

I mean, this has already happened. We saw Apple with Steve Jobs then we saw Apple without Steve Jobs. Later we saw Apple again with Steve Jobs and now, we see Apple again without Steve Jobs.

This statement it wouldn't make any sense if not because every time he said, "We saw Apple with Steve Jobs," Ellison would raise his thumb up, then say, "We saw Apple without Steve Jobs" and put his thumb down in a clear symbol of disapproval and decline.

Rose also asked him about what led Steve Jobs to achieve that success. took Apple to the top in addition to his dedication and love for the company as such, to which Ellison responded,

He was… he was brilliant. I mean, he was our Edison. He was our Picasso. He was an incredible inventor.

I do not know if it will reach the genius of the previous characters but it is clear that every time Jobs held the reins Apple, it appreciated rapidly.
