In recent weeks the fever for the Bitcoin It has reached unsuspected heights, triggering the price at which the cryptocurrency is bought and of course causing its popularity to have been catapulted to a point that a few months ago seemed impossible. The image you see heading this post has been posted in the famous forum 4chan with the intention of getting people to distribute it over the net, a task that seems to have been successful seeing some pretty angry reactions around the internet.
Basically what they ask us to do to activate the supposed mining software is to execute a command in the Terminal that will kill all the essential files on our Mac, preventing it from starting and destroying our system. If we have a Backup in Time Machine we can save the ballot by restoring, but whoever does not have it ends up in a very unprofitable situation.
Logically a slightly avid user will not fall for this kind of thing, but I just in case I warn you. In OS X there is no mining software, and of course be wary of everything you see on the net that seems suspicious at first. If you normally have to be cautious, with money involved even more.
