Pandora adds compatibility with the HomePod

Pandora iOS

The new version of the Pandora application makes its users have full compatibility with the HomePod from Apple. It is curious to see the slow but followed progress of the integration of streaming music applications with Apple's HomePods.

In this case, the application that is designed for iOS devices shows full compatibility with the smart speaker of the apple brand, so now no need to use AirPlay to play music of Pandora on it.

Have the latest version of the app installed and of course a HomePod

As we can see in the release notes 2010.1 this would be the main novelty of an app that requires iOS 14 and a HomePod or HomePod mini for its correct operation. For it to work, users of this platform have to access profile> Settings> Connect with ‌HomePod‌> Use in Home.

For the time being the app is still only available in the United States, Australia and New Zealand, so in these parts little or nothing we are going to enjoy it. In any case, the integration with the HomePod or rather HomePods from Apple is always good, so we are happy about it. On the other hand, this movement makes us think that other streaming music services such as Tidal, YouTube Music and others may end up reaching Apple's HomePods and that they reproduce them as they do now with Apple Music and Pandora, so we hope more integrations to Apple's fantastic speaker in the near future.
