Every year, various security companies are in charge of collecting the passwords most used by the majority of users, passwords that are practically the same every year and among which we find 12345678, password, 111111111 ... and so we could continue to be all of them the first ones that take into account the friends of others who want to be able to access our mail services, social networks and others. In the App Store we can find various applications that help us to generate secure passwords, but today we are talking about Password Engineer Pro, an application whose operation is very simple and does not require great knowledge.
Password Engineer Pro allows us to establish the number of characters that we want to be part of the password that we want to create, adding the suggestion that we have established along with various characters so that it is not so easy to decipher it. With this application we can create alphanumeric passwords of 30 characters in length. Once we have created the password we can copy it directly from the application to copy it to our password manager or to the application that allows us to protect access by means of a password or fingerprint sensor, so that in this way it is only available to us.
Password Engineer Pro allows us to use special characters in the password, characters such as exclamation marks, the pain symbol, the percentage ... characters that are only used in all those passwords that we can consider really safe. At the time of publishing this article, the application is available for download for free, so that we can save the 0,99 euros that it has as a regular price in the Mac App Store.
One of the negative points that we find in this simple application, are the operating system requirements, as it requires at least macOS 10.11 or later plus a 64-bit processor.
