Pixelmator Pro updates and integrates into Photos for Mac as an extension

Pixelator Pro

Announced by the developer a month and a half ago, Pixelmator Pro got updated a few hours ago. The great novelty of this new version is the full integration within the Photos app that we have by default on our Mac. version 1.4, named as Hummingbird.

If you are a Photos user and you have your photos in iCloud, you will love using the Pixelmator Pro extension in photos. To date we need to hit Cmd + enter to invoke the application. This had to be opened to start working. Later, when our adjustments to the photo have finished, we must close the application so that the changes are saved.

But since today's update, this procedure is much easier. You just have to go to the photograph you want to retouch, click edit and go to circle with the three points. Here you have all the Extensions available. In this case, click on Pixelmator Pro and all the functions of this powerful editor will be at your fingertips. Of course we have the excellent color correction automatically CoreML, all the selection and fill tools, repair, text insertion and the color and effect settings.

Pixelmator Pro incorporates an extension in the Photos application

After the first adjustment, when clicking on save, it offers us the possibility of saving the photograph, or saving at the same time all layers, in order to return to editing at a later time. The option that came with the previous version, by which we can drag a photograph over the image that we have open, to replicate the color of the released photo, is also available.

There are some features of Pixelmator Pro not incorporated into Photos, but this inclusion would be meaningless. We are talking about creating documents or resizing the document. The update is available in the app store of the Mac App Store. If you want to purchase the application, it is available in the store at the price of 43,99€
