Plain Cloud, easily access all iCloud files.

iCloud is an excellent syncing service. If you have several Apple devices, it is a real wonder how almost automatically, with just setting a username and password, all your data appears on all devices. Even the Windows 8 users can now use some of its features. Contacts, calendars, even some games are synchronized between devices thanks to iCloud. All this is done in an imperceptible way, with almost no control by the user, something quite common in many of the things that Apple does, but it has its drawbacks, and that is that if you want to access those files from a browser, you have it complicated . Plain Cloud is in charge of making your task easier, since shows you a list with all the applications that have data stored in your iCloud account, and clicking on any of them will show you those files in Finder.

Surely you know different ways to get access to the iCloud file folder from your Mac, since even though they are in the cloud, they are actually stored on your hard drive as well. But when you manage to access them, getting to see the files of a specific application is not easy, since the folders are named with totally incomprehensible series of letters and numbers, which makes this task somewhat tedious. Plain Cloud makes this much simpler. You can see the files, edit them, even add new ones. Create a file in Pages and put it directly into iCloud with a couple of clicks, modify it on your iPad and then retrieve it back on your Mac.

The application can be downloaded from its official page, and needs at least Lion to be able to work. Its developer supports donations, but is fully functional without doing so. At the moment it is in version 1.0, but it does its job perfectly.
