Apple's legal representatives would initiate legal proceedings to resolve the problem. Nevertheless now they want to try to solve it extraducially.
Prepear, which is a company dedicated to the food service, has a green pear as its logo. Apple has the well-known apple as its logo. Although at first glance it does not seem that they are even alike, for Apple they are: “The logo consists of a minimalist fruit design with a right-angle leaf, which easily calls to mind the famous Apple logo and creates a similar commercial impression".
The point is that the trial for this dispute was scheduled to begin in March of this year 2021. But it has been known that the two companies will consider the issue settled without a judge having to decide. To this end, they have requested the Trials and Appeals Committee of the United States Patent and Trademark Office to request that the trial process be suspended. for 30 days.
The parties actively participate in the negotiations for the solution of this matter. Apple Inc. requests that this process be suspended for 30 days to allow parties to continue your liquidation efforts.
In the event that an agreement cannot be reached within the 30-day margin, the judicial process will automatically resume. on January 23 and everything will continue as planned, with the first hearings beginning in March.
