A few minutes ago the new version of Final Cut Pro X was presented. The first thing that stands out was the new interface more in line with the latest Mac operating systems: Mac OS X Capitan and MacOS Sierra. This preserves the order of the sections: library, viewer and timeline, but more minimalist and refined. It promises a very special experience.
But the aspect that will change its use the most is the complete interaction with the touch Bar. In the presentation we were left with our mouths open to see the versatility that it allows, because the feeling is to work with it trad pad and with the bar at the same time.
We can place ourselves on a clip and from the bar move the clip to shorten or lengthen it, perform the trimmed, cut a clip, change clip volume, or edit color. This has only been a sample, but it will surely hide hidden functions as great as those presented.
What we have clear is that it will mark a before and after in video editing, allowing greater productivity in its use.
The only thing to see is whether this version will be available for current teams. Let's hope so. In any case, just for this function it is worth thinking about changing our equipment, to take advantage of it and give it much use.
