When it comes to sharing images with our friends and family, it is likely that some of them, or even us, we do not have the application that allows us to access the document or image that we have received. It is also likely that the recipient does not have a viewer compatible with that format, so if we send it already converted to a more popular format, all the better.
While it is true that all authoring or editing applications, have a tool to export content to more compatible formats, the process to do it, especially if there are several images to be converted, can take a long time.
