Radars in Apple Maps reach more countries

We all know that it is totally legal for the browser that we incorporate in our car to indicate us the radar fixed. At least those that the DGT lets us know the specific location. Another very different thing are the detectors that warn you of the "hidden" radars. That does carry a traffic penalty if you use them.

So there is no impediment for our GPS navigator to warn us of "public" radars. Apple Maps It has been marking them for months in some countries, and now it seems that it is spreading it to more areas. It may be that soon, it will be our turn as well.

Most of the GPS navigators that cars incorporate at the moment warn you of the fixed radars of the list published by the DGT with its concrete position. It is totally legal. If you do not have this possibility, you can always carry your iPhone connected to one of the many GPS navigators that the radars mark you.

If you live in the US, Canada, Ireland, and the UK, you can now open Apple Maps on your C of the car or in your iPhone, and see the location of fixed speed cameras that the traffic department of each country considers as "public speed cameras" and publishes their exact location.

Netherlands, Austria and Australia

The Dutch Tech Blog iCulture published today that Apple Maps is now showing speed camera information in at least some areas of the Netherlands, which suggests that Apple is in the process of rolling out such a feature in more countries.

Multiple users of Austria y Australia, are reporting that Apple Maps is also indicating the location of speed control radars in their respective countries. With how easy it is to implement these locations in a browser, since the official traffic force of each country gives you the list with their GPS coordinates of each radar, it is not surprising that the list of countries that offer you this function integrated into Apple Maps.
