Does the new MacBook Pro keyboard really improve or is it a fudge?

Once again, the problems that MacBook Pro keyboards have had are in question. We are talking about the fact that since their inception, keyboards with the new butterfly mechanism, both in their first version and in the second version in MacBook Pro have had issues causing the keys to stick "Locked" preventing them from being struck with the problem that all this entails.

I have a 12-inch MacBook of the first generation and if I tell you the truth, I have never had any problem with the possible micro particles that are deposited under the keys. Well, if I'm honest, only once did I notice that the space bar had an abnormal pulse, after which, I quickly turned the computer upside down, I patted the keyboard a few times and blew on the key. The problem disappeared until today.

However, it seems that panic is raging in the MacBook Pro ecosystem and there are many people who are extremely afraid of spending such a high amount of money for that to happen to them later. As you know, Apple after many months gave its arm to twist and opened a free fix process for all those users who had a problem with the operation of the keys on their MacBook Pro. Before that, they put the second version into operation of the butterfly mechanism that made the keys had less travel when pressed, being able to have thinner keyboards.

With the arrival of the new MacBook Pros this year, they have included a new strategy in the operation of the keyboard and it is a kind of silicone membrane that covers almost entirely the butterfly mechanism, preventing most of the particles from entering. before they entered. We speak that it avoids almost the majority because the membrane is open in the corners and is that if not the ventilation of the new computers would be worse than it already is, an added problem that is also having an impact especially in models with i9 processors.

But let's get to the heart of the matter. Has Apple added the mechanism with the membranes only to the 15-inch MacBook Pros because they are the most expensive and are those users who can get into a rage all the more reason? Are you testing a new way to isolate keys and they don't want to bring it to all current MacBook models? What is the reason they do not want to port it to all models?

The truth is that there are aspects of the decisions that Apple makes that the rest of us mortals do not understand and only the engineers and the top managers of the company decide. For now I only advise you that if you buy a MacBook Pro, do not be as afraid as the one that has been spilled on the network, treat the computer as what it is, a machine with millimeter operation and quality and that if you keep it clean as it is normal, you shouldn't have this kind of problem. As I have mentioned above, I have a first generation 12-inch MacBook and I have never had problems with the operation of the keys that have sent me to the technical service.
