Rebecca ferguson

Again we have to talk about the next projects in series format that will come to Apple TV + in the future. This time, the news comes from Deadline. According to this medium, Apple has reached an agreement to produce the Wool series, a series that will star Rebecca Ferguson.

Rebecca Ferguson is Known for Mission: Impossible Fallout and Dune (film that will be released in the next months). Wool It is based on the dystopian novel of the same name written by Hugh Howey and will be produced, among other people, by the actress.

Deadline, states that the director of this series is Morten Tyldum (Deciphering Enigma). The script is written by Gaham Yost (Justified). The production company of this new series is AMC Studios together with Apple Studios. Wool was originally published as a trilogy of books, but at the moment it is unknown how they plan to carry out this adaptation.

The project of bringing this book to the small screen, has been in the works for a long time by AMC Studios. Everything seems to indicate that Apple has given the push that this project lacked. As we can read about the plot of this new series in Deadline:

Wool is set in a dilapidated and toxic future in which a community exists in a gigantic underground silo, hundreds of stories deep. There, men and women live in a society full of norms that they believe are meant to protect them. Ferguson will play Juliette, a hard-working, freelance engineer.

Moment  the number of episodes is unknown and much less when it could reach the small screen. We will have to wait the next few months to learn more details about this new bet by Apple for its streaming video service.
