Record your Mac activity with the new Timemator application

Timemator application interface

For a long time we have had different options on the market to know how long we stay in front of our Mac screen. Not only do they have to inform us about the hours of use, but also how long we spend working on a writing, visiting social networks or playing on the Mac.

Today we know the application Timemaker. It is not just one more version. This time we have highly visual graphics that help us quickly know where we are investing our time. Timemator also presents a control of the application from the menu bar, to have the information at your fingertips.

The operation is very simple. Points to a file or folder on which you want to know the usage time and Timemator will start a stopwatch every time we access it and will stop it when closing the file (s). It is proven that you can also link it to the use of applications and know if you spend excessive time in front of it.

Other applications perform exactly this function, with more or less features, but they provide us with information similar to Timemator. Instead, I highlight this application for the important graphic information that it provides us. At a single glance we obtain bar graphs, with a legend on the left side, which informs us which color corresponds to each project or use of an application. Timemator is perfect to know the working hours of a project. On the one hand we can indicate the price / hour of an activity, to bill a client. On the other hand, this information can be export to CSV format for processing in a spreadsheet.

You can purchase Timemator from the Mac App Store or the page from the developer. Today there is only a version for macOS, but they are working on a version for iOS. You can try the application for free for a month, and after this period you must pay € 35 the first year. After this period, you can not renew the subscription, but you will not have access to the application updates
