Ridge Stand review: reviews and photos

After reaching the stipulated cap of $ 25.000, the founders of this project did not give it a second thought and went straight to the manufacture of the Rige Stand. The first thing is to highlight the speed of manufacture and shipment of the stand to the hacker's of the project. The Ridge Stand has its normal version that serves us for MacBook Air, iPad, iPad mini, iPhone etc. and then there is a Pro version that allows user to place MacBook Pro 2012 and earlier on the stand (which are somewhat thicker) in addition to other products outside the company of the bitten apple. This is something that was achieved thanks to the support of the users who supported Kickstarter and once it is officially released it will be an available option.

It should be noted about the Ridge Stand, that the hinges to place it in the inclination desired by the user are quite hard, this facilitates the holding of the device without the stand suffering involuntary movements. It also adds a series of strategically placed rubbers that achieve total protection of the device so that it does not scratch in contact with the aluminum and so that it does not slip. At the base of the Rige Stand, another non-slip rubber is added that allows us to use the stand on any type of table without problems.

Something to take into account before making the purchase are the measurements for this Stand, in my case the one I have in the office it is 15 mm in the slot where the MacBook Air, iPad or other devices are placed, but in the case of Pro model this is 20mm, so it allows us to place thicker devices. The maximum weight supported by the stand is recommended by the manufacturer is 1,5 Kg.
