Rocket League game to stop supporting macOS

Rocket League

Macs have never been characterized as computers thought and designed to play, but rather for the opposite, although depending on the model, they are perfectly valid. However, except for Fortnite and a few others, very few relevant titles they are available on the Apple platform.

Rocket League, one of the titles that generated the greatest impact in 2015 when it was released for PlayStation thanks to its original gameplay approach, will no longer receive support from Psyonix, developer of this title, as just announced by the studio, so players will have to change platforms if they want to continue enjoying it.

The game that has received a large number of awards, in addition to being one of the most loved by both fans and the media, has a great presence in e-sports 5 years after its launch. In the Psyonix statement where this media has been announced, we can read:

As we continue to update Rocket League with new technologies, it is no longer feasible for us to maintain support for the macOS and Linux platforms, so after the patch that we will release in March, the title on both platforms will no longer receive support.

This latest update will remove the ability to play online and in-game purchasesHowever, it will be possible to continue playing the title without an internet connection played on LAN and split screen.

If you regularly play this title and want to continue doing so, instead of buying a Windows computer, you can install Windows via Bootcamp on your computer to continue enjoying this title if you do not want to buy a Windows PC or go to the world of consoles.

Rocket League will offer us any type of refund to players who play from a Mac, but reminds them that if they have purchased it through Steam, they can download the PC version for free.
