Sales of AirPods are not as good as previously thought

To this day, there are many Apple followers who are still waiting for the opportunity to get a headset AirPods And it is that although they suffered a delay in their release, due to circumstances that we still do not know, once they were put up for sale we have been able to see how in a few hours Apple hung the "sold out" sign giving up to six weeks of time to dispatch new reserves.

All this could make us think that the business of these new bluetooth headphones of the apple company is being a success in sales, but some third-party analyzes suggest that all that glitters is not gold and that the AirPods would not be having all the market share that initially augured for them.

Apparently slice intelligence published at the time that between the Beats brand headphones and the AirPods, Apple had a total of 40% of the total market share, which means that, roughly, half of all the headphones sold in the world would belong to Apple. However, the market consultancy NPD has clarified that these figures have been obtained taking into account only purchases made online, leaving aside the purchases that are made in physical stores.

If the traditional purchases of both types of headphones were taken into account, we would have that the sales of the Beats brand would reach a 26% market share while that of the AirPods would have a small 3%. That is why we could be talking about Apple expecting more sales of its new AirPods, but at the same time what we have to point out is that they have also been slowed down due to the lack of stock that is currently available anywhere.

From my humble opinion, we are facing a product in which its stock has not even stabilized so that we are already looking at whether it has had the market share or not that it should have. What market analysis companies should do is wait for Apple to fill the displays of units of the AirPods, and when sales are at full performance, do numbers.

How are the sales figures going to be high, if they are not yet available almost anywhere, not even in practically any Apple store anywhere in the world? What kind of news is this?

They expected a horrible design and you can't control the volume without turning to Siri. and the quality of the microphone is lousy. There are better alternatives on the market, it is worth that they will not match as perfect as these with the iPhone but they do not convince me at all.
