SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive Review

Today we review one of the accessories that caught our attention at this year's Mobile World Congress, it is the  iXpand Flash Drive. This accessory is nothing more than an external USB memory that incorporates a Lightning connector to be able to directly connect our iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and thus send and receive files from our Mac or PC. This USB has been on the market for a long time, but this year increased USB capacity with a 128GB storage model.

The idea of ​​this accessory is to move and store our documents, photos, videos, music from one place to another in a physical way, even though we have storage services in the cloud and so on. iXpand offers us an extra space in our idevice.

To start with this review we will say that the iXpand Flash Drive can be obtained in four different capacities, these are 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB y for its operation requires the iXpand Sync app application that we have to install on our iPhone or iPad and that we find totally free in the online Apple store. Once this app is installed to manage our USB from the iPhone and iPad, it is all really simple and intuitive for the user.

The possibilities are many and it allows us to share our content from the Mac or PC with our mobile devices efficiently and quickly, it also supports most of the current video and audio formats (WMV, AVI, MKV, MP4, MOV), for so we have no problems in this regard. The necessary requirement on our Mac To be able to use this iXpand, it is necessary to have Mac OS X 10.6 or higher installed and in the case of PCs it works with Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 or higher.

The prices for the different capacities vary a lot and starts at 54,99 euros for the 16GB version. The rest of models:

• 32 GB model for 74.99 euros
• 64 GB model for 109.99 euros 
• 128 GB model for 169.99 euros
