Various rumors suggest that This year's new MacBooks can add an SD card reader and HDMI connector plus USB C Thunderbolt ports. This implementation may be exclusive to the 14-inch and 16-inch computers that have been rumored for weeks and will possibly arrive this year. The redesign of the MacBook that could be presented with the miniLED screen would also be accompanied by this change in the ports.
What is clear is that we have been a few years in which Apple computers have practically run out of ports and only the USB C ports are added with the option of charging, video transfer and others, so it seems strange that now we are going to have these HDMI ports and a built-in SD card reader again.
Nowadays It is even rumored that the iPhone will be without a Lightning port, something that remains a rumor with little foundation but that some analysts warn could happen. That is why adding HDMI ports and an SD card reader on MacBooks seems unlikely.
This new rumor that comes from several pages such as iphonehacks, I personally believe that it is unfeasible in Apple seeing its trajectory in the Mac. it would be interesting if they ended up adding them for some obvious reasons such as not having to use the USB C Hub accessories to connect these cables to the equipment, but I see that quite complicated considering what we have seen these years and the evolution of Apple with its devices, not only on the Mac. what happen.
