Seiko puts on sale the mythical watch that Steve Jobs wore in one of his most iconic photos

En Soy de MacAs you have seen, we are not just talking about Macs, because let's be honest, there is not much news for it, although we usually focus on this topic. From time to time we also tell you about a curiosity or auction that attracts special attention. About a year ago, the original Seiko watch that Steve Jobs wore in the iconic image at the top of this article, an image captured at his Woodside home and showing the first Macintosh, was auctioned. This Seiko, with a 33 millimeter dial, only showed the time, without offering information about the day of the month or the week. It was a basic model, which fetched a figure of $ 42.500.

Most of our readers, despite some being a mythomaniac, we can consider the possibility of bidding for such articles. But for all those who like watches, Seiko has just announced in Japan the launch of a limited edition of the Seiko Nano 6431-6030, the same model that Steve Jobs showed in this photograph. This reissue is now available through the Seiko Japan website, it hits the market with two dial sizes: 37,5 millimeters and 33 mm (Steve Jobs model).

Regarding the price, the company has not wanted to take advantage of the mythomaniacs and we can buy it for $ 177 to change. The units are limited, since 1982 units have been launched for the white model while only 300 have been released for the black model. This reissue is available with a black leather strap, very different from the brown leather strap that Steve Jobs wore this model. It seems that Seiko has no intention of launching this model internationally, at least initially, so if you're interested, you'll have to wait for it to hit eBay if you really want to get hold of it.
