Share your photos hosted in Photos for macOS with anyone

To date many of us use iCloud Shared Albums to share our photo albums with our friends and family. This process is still valid, but it is somewhat more complex than the method that we are going to see below.

With the help of the default macOS app for photos, Photos, and the web version of iCloud, www.icloud.com, we can share one or hundreds of images at a time, just by generating a link with the content to share. From this moment on, so you just have to share this link as you prefer: mail, messages, or social networks.

The process is simpler than it seems and any user, regardless of their level, can carry it out. The first will be have the content, images or videos, in the Photos application. Otherwise, just select and drop on the Photos app. The content will be imported.

Now it's time to go to the iCloud web version, found in www.icloud.com. As in any service, you must identify yourself with the ID and password. If you have activated, as in my case, the double factor verification, before exiting the Launchpad, it will ask you to enter the code sent to your other Apple device.

How to share photos with everyone?

You will see the iCloud services that you can access from the browser. One of them is Photos. If you click on it, you will access a reduced version of the Photos application. The interface is practically the same as that shown in the Mac app, therefore, handling by it will not be a problem if you are a user of the Mac version. Follow the next steps:

  1. Select all photos one by one that you want to share.
  2. When we have this selection, you will see that at the top, the share symbol Apple, that is, the square with the outgoing arrow pointing up. Press it.
  3. Now we have the option of email or copy the link. Select the latter.
  4. With this, you will have the link on the clipboard to paste it in an email, messages, or social networks.

Anyone with this link can access your content, import it into iCloud, or just download it. By last, This content will be available for a period of 30 days exclusively.
