Sony presents the Xperia Ear Duo, headphones that want to compete with the AirPods

If you have been attentive to what is happening at the Mobile World Congress you will have seen that Sony has thrown itself back into the pool presenting the Xperia Ear Duo, headphones that want to become competitors of the AirPods but that, in my way of seeing things, their days are numbered.

We start from a very different concept and that is that while Apple is committed to lightness and headphones that almost do not bother when they are placed in the ear, the Xperia Ear Duo are very large headphones that most people They are not prepared to wear this type of gadget all day.

The Xperia Ear Duo are an "open-ear" stereo wireless headphones that offer the ability to listen to music and ambient sound simultaneously, come on, you're going to be constantly distracted while wearing them.

Xperia Ear Duo has Dual Listening technology, so you can listen to music and receive notifications while listening to ambient sound or conversation at the same time. The Spatial Acoustic Driver, developed by the Sony Future Lab Program, allows the sound generated behind the ear by the unit's controller to be transmitted directly to the ear. The specially designed ring holder surrounds the ear canal so your music blends seamlessly with the sounds of your surroundings.

Volume is also intelligently adjusted based on your surroundings and background noise, with Sony's Clear Phase audio technology eliminating sound dispersion.

Xperia Ear Duo represents what we have learned from audio and acoustic research. The Ear Duo is the first wireless headset to offer an advanced dual listening experience - the ability to listen to music and notifications simultaneously with sounds from the world around you.

Do you think that this type of headphones will have a place in society? Do we have to be continuously listening to background music? I think it is an idea that comes at a time when we are debating what limits to put on mobile technology and it is that I do not see myself talking to a person who does not remove the headphones from their ears and who is all day with tremendous devices in the ears.
