Telegram Desktop for Mac is updated by adding functionalities to groups

Telegram Desktop

Telegram has become the most used messaging platform for those who do not want to depend solely on their smartphone to be able to communicate with their friends, family or clients. The main advantage that Telegram offers us compared to WhatsApp is found in its desktop version, an application with which we can chat without using the phone, even if it is turned off.

As the years have passed, Telegram has become one of the best messaging applications, although for it to be an alternative to WhatsApp it seems that there are still a few years to go. At the moment, the guys at Pavel Durov continue to update the application, but not only adding new functions but also they improve some of the existing ones, as is the case of the last update.

Groups on Telegram

The main novelty that comes to us from the hand of the latest Telegram update, we find it in the maximum number of members that can be part of a group: 200.000. A very high figure that can hardly be covered, but there it is. Telegram groups are increasingly popular thanks to the versatility it offers and that is not found on WhatsApp.

To improve interaction with groups, Telegram has just added a new function that allows limit the type of content that can be posted to a group, a function that Telegram group administrators were waiting like May water, especially when there is no way for members to meet the necessary requirements to be part of it.

This update, too allows us to establish group administrators with special permissions and the ability for new members to have access to chat history. This latest update has improved support for automatic file and music downloading.
