When it comes to enjoying the Telegram messaging platform on our Mac, we have two options, both official but with different purposes, although practically they offer us the same functions. On the one hand, we have the Telegram application, an application that follows the same path as the iOS version, adding all the functions that come to the iPhone.
On the other hand, we find the Telegram Lite application, an application that offers us practically the same functions, but not all. This application is optimized for work tasks and the administration of large communities. In this article, we talk about the latest update of this version.
A few days ago the application for iOS was updated adding a series of functions such as folders, statistics, the ability to pin an unlimited number of folders… All these functions arrived a few hours later at the application Telegram for Mac. A couple of days after the update of the application for iOS for Mac, the corresponding update for Telegram Lite arrives, an update that does not include all the news that has reached the rest of the applications.
What's new in Telegram Lite version 2.0.1
- Organize chats in Folders if you have too many conversations. This function allows us to create folders to group chats with the same theme: family, games, movies, work, friends ...
- Pin an unlimited number of chats in each folder. When this feature was launched, it only allowed us to pin up to 5 chats, a limitation that fell short for many users.
- The folders, where we classify the conversations, are in the left part of the application, arranged vertically, allowing us to quickly access its content with a mouse click.
