A feature that seemed almost science fiction to me when I switched to MAC is the ability not only to create partitions on a hard drive, but also resize partition once created, so that you can adjust it according to your needs, logically up to the limit of your disk capacity.
With this in mind, every time a new operating system comes out and I want to "try" for it for a while, I use the method mentioned: create a partition (or delete the one we already have) and install the new OS on it. It is true that to test it I must restart the Mac (as we will describe later) but in its favor, allows us to test an operating system, which will surely be a beta, without altering our main operating system, thus guaranteeing its correct operation in any circumstance.

- Check that you Mac is compatible with macOS Sierra.

How to create a partition:
