Although the application is only for America, it is necessary to review all the movements that Apple is making around the pandemic generated by the coronavirus. We have already read and seen, mask donations from the American company, financial donations, protective screens ... etc. But the most important thing the American company is doing is helping through what it does best: The technology.
With the COVID-19 app launched at the end of March, Apple gives advice on the disease. Knowing the "enemy" better means that we can better fight him. Apart from interpersonal safety advice and information on symptoms and what to do in case of having them, now with version 3.0 it offers us advice on the good use of masks and provides information updated by the CDC.
According to Tim Cook, the app has been downloaded to Apple devices for more than two million times. So the interest in it is evident. Remember that it is free and that relies on a complementary website, to be able to visit it, whether you are an Apple user or not.
Right now the new version offers the aforementioned advice on masks, especially those made of cloth, and also updated information on the disease issued by the CDC. Not surprisingly, both the application and the Web are jointly developed by Apple, the CDC, the White House and FEMA.
