Apple TV app coming to Sony TVs in 2018

Fire Stik Apple TV +

Apple launched its video streaming service almost a year ago. Shortly after, the main television manufacturers announced that they will offer the Apple TV application in most of the models launched on the market in the last two or three years depending on the manufacturer.

Sony announced a few months ago the launch of the Apple TV application for models managed by Android TV, a launch that in the end did not occur. Fortunately, to avoid misunderstandings, Sony has officially announced the availability of the Apple TV application for most of its models as of today.

Sony just released a software update for your X900H series TVs, series that includes 55 to 85 inch models including all 4K models. These are the first models that have begun to receive the Apple TV application, but they will not be the only ones since before the end of the year, some 2019 models will also offer the Apple TV application in the 2020 and 2018 models.

Despite being televisions managed by Android TV, the application will not be available through the Play Store rather, it will come with a software update. At the moment, it seems unlikely that Apple will launch an application of its video service in streamimg for Android, although if we take into account that Apple Music does have a presence, it is likely that at some point in the future it will arrive.

The Apple TV app not only offers access to Apple's streaming video service, but also allows access to all the content available on iTunes in addition to the different streaming television services that Apple offers, for the moment, only in the United States, but it is a matter of time before Apple reaches agreements in more countries .
