The Apple Watch 2 could be up to 40% thinner than its predecessor

Apple Watch 2-0

It's been a year since Apple introduced the original Apple Watch, entering the smartwatch market through the front door grabbing most of the market. However, there was the case of many users and publications who complained about certain aspects of the watch, one of them was its thickness, slightly above what was desired and that the general opinion did not like.

Now according to rumors, everything points to the new model that would be the successor to the original to be up to 40% thinner. The media speculate that the presentation of this new model would occur at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in June (WWDC 2016).

According to Wall Street analyst Brian White Drexel Hamilton, he released a report on the expected device that can read:

The Apple Watch update will not take place in September alongside the iPhone 7, it is more likely to happen in the next 2-3 months, and therefore we think a presentation at WWDC in June makes more sense. We think the Apple Watch 2 could also be 20 to 40% thinner than the current Apple Watch.

En septiembre de 2015, analysts Cowen and Timothy Arcuri also claimed that the Apple Watch 2 would be thinner than current models. Along with this, it is expected to have a totally new design for an even more miniaturized CPU which could be an ARM Cortex A32 processor with 32-bit architecture.

This A32 processor promises a better battery life with faster performance and lower power usage. It could even be up to 25% faster than current ARM. It is also expected that it can incorporate new power management features compared to Cortex-A7 and Cortex-A5 processors, thus providing even more capabilities for embedded applications that require idle power consumption.
