The evolution of the Apple Pencil will it be compatible with the MacBook?

In the previous article we asked ourselves the question of whether Apple is going to present the new iPad, the new MacBook or both at the same time in October. Whichever product they present, there are some rumors that Apple has improved its Apple Pencil, both in autonomy, type of connection with the devices and functionalities.

As for the functionalities, new forms of use would arrive that would allow to make more gestures when using it. In terms of autonomy, it would be considerably improved and in terms of the type of connection we would have the arrival of the connection method released with the arrival of the Airpods.

To be able to start using the Apple Pencil we always have to connect it to the iPad so that the bluetooth is activated and it starts working. After a while without using it it disconnects to save energy and we have to do the same procedure again.

As for recharging it, you also have to connect it to the Lightning port to recharge it or with an adapter to the iPad adapter itself. However, with the possible arrival of an iPad with a USB-C port, as in their laptops, everything could change. The new Apple Pencil could bring a USB-C port for recharging, so we would have much faster recharges. We would also have to connect to the devices it would be more intuitive with the connection protocol that is already used in Airpods.

Now, will the new Apple Pencil be compatible with the new MacBooks that are expected? If we analyze the current line of Apple laptops we will see that the trackpad has grown considerably. Will it be the prelude to which we can use the Apple Pencil 2 on Mac? It is clear that such a marked increase in the trackpad is for something that Apple has not yet wanted to tell us.
