In the last weeks a significant number of office leases are being recorded by Apple, in towns near Cupertino. Today we know from The San Jose Mercury News, that Apple would be closing agreements with several places of the population.
At the moment, the use that the company will give them is unknown. Specifically, the newspaper is aware of several offices on the corner of Bowers and Walsh Avenues. But this seems to be only the tip of the iceberg, since it would be renting more premises in other parts of the population, of greater or lesser size, within Santa Clara.
In the word of Chad leiker, which holds the position of Vice President of Kidder Mathews, a real estate agency specialized in commercial premises,
This really shows that Apple has decided that Silicon Valley is where they can find the best talent… This is where they want to be. Apple seems to be very comfortable expanding into these local cities… They know what they can accomplish here.
Although Apple's plans are unknown, it is likely that certain business units will work in these locations, for various reasons. One of them may be the itimeliness to work on secret company projects. Another reason may be the tranquility when it comes to working in small offices, away from the daily maelstrom that occurs in Apple Park.
The anticipated dates to begin the move to these offices are unknown. In some cases, Apple must carry out previous renovations in the offices that it is leasing.
You are not just leasing offices. In August of last year, the rental of two buildings in Santa Clara closed, according to a report published by Apple itself. The truth is that many Apple workers live in the Santa Clara Valley, and therefore a daily trip to Cupertino causes loss of money and time. Many of these employees can work in Santa Clara and travel on time to Apple Park.
