Apple's cloud storage service called iCloud and that most of you surely know, too has a web version to be able to access from other devices whatever while you have internet access. However, not all the services through this platform were available until now, since little by little as we are checking, more functions are being added to the web part.
This is the case of "Friends", a function that lets you know the location of your friends or acquaintances (as long as they previously allow sharing their location), if they have an iPhone or iOS device that integrates this option. Before it was necessary to have another iOS device or a Mac with OS X El Capitan through a specific widget to be able to know the location. Now we can access via iCloud web for log in with our Apple ID and know the location on any computer.
The only option available until now was the "Find my iPhone" which uses the service of location via iCloud to issue a loss message or specifically locate the device.
Both Find Friends and Find My iPhone became two very important functions within the Apple ecosystem earlier this year, when both became reinstalled and native applications in iOS 9 since previously, users had to access the App Store and download these two applications.
On the other hand, iOS 9 also includes the Find My Friends function as a widget in the notification center to match the novelty introduced in OS X 10.11. However sadly there is no native app for this function within OS X, although I hope that at some point Apple will decide to remove it or at least integrate the function within Maps without having to access the widget itself.
