The Mac Mini is not dead, long live the Mac mini

When it seemed that Apple was planning to discontinue the Mac mini, or so it seemed in the absence of news, a few hours ago, Apple CEO himself talks about an important part of Apple's future. This is great news for many Mac users who enjoy their current Mac mini, due to the versatility that this equipment provides. Choice of screen, portability, etc. and of course, it also serves as a recommendation to a friend who wants to try a Mac, but does not want to invest a lot of money before knowing if it satisfies him.

Fair-Poor it has just been three years since the last update of the Mac mini. To get rid of doubts, a user wrote by email to Tim Cook himself (a few weeks ago Cook himself commented that he liked to read user emails first thing in the morning) and he replied that "it was not the time to share any details" But it confirmed that the Mac mini will be an important part of the company's product line in the future.

This is nothing more than confirmation on the part of the Mac mini's continuity. Weeks ago, his own Phil Schiller anticipated us:

The Mac mini is an important product in our line and we did not mention it because we are working to make a product that is a mixture of home use and professional use.

And obviously, the machine needs an update as it deserves, because although many users have changed any component that could be improved, the current version has integrated Haswell and Intel HD 5000 processors.

Furthermore, with technological advancement, it will be possible to see in the future Smaller Mac mini, approaching the size of an Apple TV. However, we do not have any rumors about a new equipment update, therefore we do not expect new equipment at least until the first quarter of 2018. Since we have waited so long, at least the new equipment should have improved Kaby Lake chips.
