MacBook Pro

A few days ago we informed you about the possibility that the next range of iMac for 2019 have an AMD Radeo FX 590 graphics, a graphics that has been on the market for a relatively short time and that would be a major improvement with respect to the graphics that currently integrate this range.

The AMD company could be expanding its line of Radeo Pro Vega graphics, a line of graphics that could be used in the next update of the MacBook Pro range, which in theory could hitting the market early 2019, according to a series of identifiers discovered in the latest macOS Mojave update.

AMD Vega 16 and Vega 20 GPUs hit the MacBook Pro range on November 14, being an important update with respect to the more than discreet Radeon Pro 555X and Radeon Pro 560X. Although users who need higher performance have welcomed these improvements in the performance of their computers, it seems that Apple plans to use other variants of the Vega GPU that have not yet been announced to this day.

The existence of these references implies that AMD is working on a new Vega range aimed at the notebook range, these being slight variants of the existing ones or improved versions. References may also refer to products that are currently being sold. are testing for compatibility purposes and that they never arrive in a final version when consuming.

To this day, it seems unlikely that Apple will release a new MacBook with another GPU for supplement current availability, so we will have to wait for the annual renewal of this range to see if they really will have a new graphics with a higher performance than the current one.
