The new Apple Store in Dubai shows us hyptonizing panels

Last week we told you about the Cupertino-based company's plans to open a new Apple Store in Dubai, which would be the third Apple Store in the Middle East. This new store, which will open at the end of this week, will not use the large amount of glass that the company has used to, but instead shows us some windows made of carbon fiber that vary their position according to the time of day. These motorized panels were shown yesterday for the first time in what appeared to be the final test of the operation of this new architectural achievement of the company.

Apple usually shows us some designs that sometimes are merely aesthetic, but this time it is not. The motorized carbon fiber panels is one of the most striking features of this new Apple Store and is designed to minimize the use of air conditioning. At the moment We do not know what is the operation that allows stores to minimize electricity consumption, but it is very likely that within a few days some expert will venture to offer us an explanation.

Each of the 18 carbon fiber panels are 11,43 meters high (37,5 feet) and constitute one of the largest installations of kinetic art in the world. These panels are open at night as a way of welcoming people who are in the public taerraza, located across the street from the Burj Khalifa.

According to Angela Ahrendts, the choice of this new Apple Store was carefully studied to find at one of the most incredible and dynamic intersections in the world, Apple Store that is located with incredible views of the Burj Khalifa, one of the most representative buildings in the Middle East.
