Little by little, since the developers have gotten down to work and are testing all the news of the next version of macOS that will hit the market in September, we are finding out new functions that Apple had not shown in the keynote, or it had mentioned it a little above but without giving the importance that in this sense other users would like to know.

The Photos application has been completely revamped by adding a large number of new functions, including facial recognition, but different from the one we used with iPhoto, since this system is capable of recognizing facial expressions similar to those shown with emoticons, in addition to being able to recognize up to 4.432 objects.

macOS Sierra

According to developer Kay Yin, the new recognition system for iOS 10 and macOS Sierra allows us to recognize up to seven facial expressions, among which we find displeased, neutral, yell, smile, surprise, distrustful and gluttonous not to say eat, depending on how you look at it. Regarding the objects that can be recognized in each and every one of the photographs scanned by the system, the number rises to 4.432, so that it will be much easier to find that photo of the vase that we took on a trip but did not quite find, or the photo of that American car that caught our attention and we want to share with our friends ...

Within the application, we can also find the Memories option, which groups us in the same place, as the Google Photos application for iOS currently does, so that we can quickly consult our last weekend, last week, the birthday of someone we know, the trips we make, memories of family reunions ... This type of memories, in most cases it does not usually hit the mark, since it is only dedicated to grouping the photos that correspond to a period of time, photos that not all belong to the same celebration and are ridiculous in this type of summaries.
