Apple carried out the official launch of the new 12-inch MacBook last Friday and there was a curious fact and for many of us, annoying, with the launch. We were all clear that the new MacBook was in the 'background' for Apple before the launch and the first reservations of the company's watch, the Watch, but nobody expected that for this launch of the MacBook there were no physical units in any of its stores on the old continent.
Undoubtedly something is changing in the Apple launches and although it is true that sometimes you could go to an official Apple store and not find stock for sale because it sold out in a few hours, you could always fiddle with the new product a bit and have the first impressions of it. This time Apple has changed the way it 'brings new products to market' and this may not appeal to many, including myself.
We can come to understand that Apple does not send its new machines to all authorized stores that sell Macs, by this I mean authorized resellers, but that do not have a single Mac in an official Apple Store on the day of its launch, It is something that I really dislike and that I think Apple is wrong doing this. Last Friday I was stupid when I approached an Apple store and saw that they did not have a single sample MacBook. You can only buy online this time, I was told by the nice guy who I asked where the new MacBook was. Come on, not a unit to see if it convinces us or not, unfortunate Apple. Even the store workers themselves were left with the desire to see and touch the new Apple MacBook launched that same day, obviously because of the clock I didn't even ask ...
This is something new for me since I have been following Apple's launches, which is not that much but it has not been for a year, and it makes me think that if Angela Ahrendts herself is right when he says that they will end the queues in their stores during the launch days, if there are no products in the official stores, surely no one will buy them. I hope this is something specific and does not become a fixed decision during the launch days for the stores of the old continent, because in the United States they had stock of the new Mac.
As far as I know the launch was online, they never said that it would be physical, now I don't think there will be physical units soon, at that time anyone can try it and buy it. You just wanted to touch it, because I don't think you were going to buy it.

Apple never ever says when it launches whether it will be physical or not. They also do not announce if we are going to be able to test it in their physical stores because they have always had devices to do it in each and every one of their launches since we have physical stores in Spain they have been able to test their Macs and other idevice on the same day of its official launch , with or without the intention of final purchase by the user.
In the United States if they have units to see and physically touch from the day of the launch. In short, having a device to be able to touch and test before paying for it is what Apple always did in its physical stores, that now they want to change this method seems good to me, but I did not see the place where they said that this MacBook would be exclusive for the online store and less on the launch day.
