Things app gets updated with new widgets, rich notifications, M1 support, and more

Things

Big Sur is now available for download, an update that is no longer compatible with the equipment that arrived on the market in 2012 and some of those that arrived in 2013 and that has renewed its design to offer a user interface very similar to what we can find in iPadOS.

In the Mac App Store as in the App Store, we have at our disposal a large number of applications that allow us to manage our day-to-day tasks, both in the home and in the professional field. Things is one of the applications that offers us more options today, an application just got an update to get the most out of macOS Big Sur.

Things

Things wanted to get the most out of the new version of macOS and with version 3.13.2 already available on the Mac App Store  has introduced the following new features:

New Widgets

Things has introduced a number of widgets that we can configure in the Notification Center and that allow us to quickly show the lists of tasks of the day, those that we have programs, those related to a project, lists filtered by tags ...

Interactive notifications

Things notifications in this new version of macOS include new options when it comes to postponing them (10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour) in addition to a new option that allows us mark the task as completed. Also, as with native macOS applications, delaying or completing a task does not cause the application to jump to the fore.

other developments

  • The application icon has been redesigned.
  • The window layout has been adapted to the new graphical interface in macOS Big Sur.
  • New icons have been added to the Preferences panels.
  • A new switch is included for Things Cloud
  • Support is added for the Apple Silicon processors that Apple introduced on November 10.

This update is available for free download for all users who they had bought the app.
