This is the result of the Touch Bar after a few weeks of use

Aquarelo app compatible Touch Bar MacBook Pro

The Touch Bar first appeared on the 2016 MacBook Pros, when Apple completely redesigned the brand's professional notebook. It is formed by a OLED band that replaces the traditional function bar (F1, F2, ...) of a keyboard. In this case, these functions are replaced by various keys that we can operate and are adjusted to the application that we are using at that moment.

Since the beginning, the evolution of the Touch Bar has not changed, except for the application developers who have implemented their apps with shortcuts.

Well, today most of the actions that are carried out with the Touch Bar are the functions of raising or lowering the volume, the brightness of the screen and some more function. Also, it's easy to get some keys wrong. For example, when we want to press the delete key, it is relatively easy to invoke Siri which is next to the delete key. Therefore, this is the main lack of the Touch Bar, the lack of customization, which is limited to a few applications. On the other hand, Touch ID works perfectly on Mac, providing security and speed, more if possible when you do not have Apple Watch.

Apple Pay on the web is also expanding as an online payment method, beyond mobile devices, and will soon be accepted by Comcast as well, so further growth is expected in the immediate future

The key question is whether the Touch Bar allows us to gain productivity.

The Touch Bar today rarely allows us to gain productivity. When I write articles in Soy de Mac, the Touch Bar helps us with the suggestion of words that I am typing. But unless the word is very long, I generally end up typing it rather than waiting for it to appear and select it in the Touch Bar. Even in these cases, even if you win by pressing the word, returning to the keyboard takes time, and therefore, the gain is lost. Instead, review a text, marking underlines, bold, etc. it is very comfortable with the trackpad and the Touch Bar.

Apple should learn from third-party apps like Better Touch Tool, which makes an attempt to customize the Touch Bar, so that we assign the most relevant and repetitive functions. If these developers can customize the Touch Bar, Apple should make efforts so that users can adapt it, more if possible this does not affect the security or integrity of the system.
