Three New BAFTA Television Award Nominations for Apple TV +

The Baker at Little America

At the beginning of March, the British Film Academy released the list of films nominated for this year's edition, a list where both the film Greyhound starring Tom Hanks and the animated film Wolfwalker were found, films that they had no luck in the last edition of the Oscars held last Sunday.

Apple has announced that three of its series will also compete for the BAFTA television awards. We are talking about the series Little America, MicroWorlds y Night Planet in full color.

The nominations for the BAFTA television awards correspond to the categories:

  • LittleAmerica. Nominated in the Best International Series category.
  • MicroWorlds.  Nominated in the Best Sound category.
  • Night Planet in full color. Nominated in the Best Photography category.

These nominations mark Apple's debut at the BAFTA TV Awards and are in addition to a host of accolades for Apple TV + series and films, including nominations for the Academy Awards, Actors Guild Awards, Critics Awards, the Golden Globes, the Daytime and Primetime Emmy Awards, the NAACP Image Awards and a Peabody Award, among others, obtaining 106 wins and 367 nominations in just under a year and a half.

The BAFTA Film Industry Awards were held on April 11, but sadly for Apple's aspirations, both Greyhound and Wolfwalkers they were left out of the winners.
