In case someone hasn't found out yet, the next leader of the "free world" will be business magnate Donald Trump, a colorful character who boasts of knowing how to avoid paying taxes while determined to have Apple make his "bad computers" at home, who despises foreigners (although his country was built on immigrants ). A character who has built an empire based on debt, for whom Islamism is synonymous with terrorism, who openly despises and insults women regardless of whether there is a camera in front, or who intends to build a wall that separates Mexico from the United States and also, that the Mexicans pay for it.
This is the portrait of who As of next January 20, he will be the Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful army in the world, the army of a country that calls itself "leader of the free world.". It is ironic, it even seems like a practical joke, a bad dream, but it is the pure reality. Today I have heard from many of you about the presidential elections. In a political contest in which the candidates were so different and each received a similar number of popular votes, it is inevitable that the result will leave many of you with strong feelings.
We have a very diverse team of employees, including supporters for each of the candidates. Regardless of the candidate each of us supported as individuals, the only way forward is to move forward together. I remember something that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said 50 years ago: “If you can't fly, run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving. This advice is timeless, and a reminder that we just do great work and improve the world by moving forward.
While there is a debate today about the uncertainties ahead, you can rest assured that Apple's North Star has not changed. Our products connect people everywhere, and provide the tools for our customers to do great things to improve their lives and the world at large. Our company is open to all, and the diversity of our team here in the United States and around the world is celebrated - regardless of what they look like, where they come from, how they love each other or what they like.

A tense relationship but with common interests
The relationship between Apple and Donald Trump has been very cold especially after he called for a boycott of Apple products following the company's refusal to create a security hole in iOS for the FBI. Apple responded by stating that being criticized by Trump "sets the company on its feet with other good people." Nevertheless, both have a common desire, a tax reform that will make Apple's profits repatriated abroad cheaper, something to which Trump has committed with the intention of reducing these taxes from 35% to 10%.
