Tim Cook promotes programming in 70 European universities

Apple CEO Tim Cook is a fervent advocate for teaching kids coding, seeing it as vital to any job in the future job market. That is why at the end of last week, he presented the initiative: Everyone can code, where it collaborates with more than 70 European educational institutions. Following the announcement, he went to the University of Essex, one of the schools that will develop the project.

However, Cook mentioned that the use of technologies should not be all-encompassing. An excess of training with technological instruments will make you lose other skills that are just as necessary.

The Guardiancollects in depth the words of the CEO of Apple in relation to the importance that Apple shows in training, and this time with the little ones. According to Cook, there are concepts that cannot be taught with the use of technologies. This cannot be dominant, if not, help in the achievement of the final result.

I don't believe in excessive use (of technology). I am not a person who says that we have achieved success if you use it all the time ... I do not subscribe to that at all.
Even in computer-aided courses, like graphic design, technology shouldn't dominate.
There are still concepts that you need to talk about and understand. In a course on literature, do you think technology should be used a lot? Probably not

There is a concern on the part of Apple shareholders in relation to the excessive use of technology by children, in their free time. Cook said that concern is shared and they are working to avoid it. Earlier this month Apple showed its concern about the impact and use of the devices on people, mainly on children. Cook assured that he does not want children to be on social networks and will do everything possible to avoid it.
