A year ago, Apple took over the television rights to The Velvet Underground in order to be able to incorporate the documentary to Apple TV +. This coming October 15 will be the world premiere of the same and to commemorate it, the company has broadcast through its official YouTube channel the first trailer of the documentary.
The Velvet Underground is directed by Todd Haynes who follows the band's beginnings and explores the indelible mark it left on the music scene. In the trailer moments from the documentary are seen, examining the beginning of the group that occurred at the intersection of experimental art, music, and film during a shift in the prevailing cultural winds in the 60s.
Tell the story through a series of exclusive interviews with the band's surviving members: John Cale and Moe Tucker. As well as comments from musician Jonathan Richman, dancer Exploding Plastic, Inevitable Mary Woronov, and others. Interspersed throughout the film are previously unreleased footage drawn from Andy Warhol performances and films. Lou Reed appears to have a prominent role in the documentary, with bandmates and more commenting on his approach to rock and roll.

Directed in the avant-garde spirit of the time by Todd Haynes, this kaleidoscopic oral history combines exclusive interviews with dazzling archives.
The trailer is listed under the 'R' insignia. This means that children under the age of 17 cannot see it unless they are accompanied by an adult. It seems that the decade of the 60s and all the rumors and stories that are told around these dates, was very shocking in this group and in the rest of society.
On October 15, it will be released both on Apple TV + and in theaters. It sure does not leave anyone indifferent.
