Transcend StoreJet 200 review: portability and speed for your Mac

The inclusion of SSD disks in Apple laptops was an important qualitative leap, not only for being able to reduce its thickness and weight, but also for the speed of the equipment, much higher thanks to the high transfer rates of this type of storage.

Design and Specifications

Little can be said for a design as simple but elegant as this Transcend's StoreJet 200. It could not be more suitable to accompany our MacBook or MacBook Pro, with its aluminum structure and minimal thickness. In the tests we have carried out, and taking into account that this type of measurement is greatly influenced by the equipment you use and the application chosen to do it, the speeds we have obtained are quite close to what the manufacturer specifies.

This portable disk is accompanied by a free software with which you can make backup copies of your files, restore those copies, synchronize folders and even copy content from a cloud storage service like Dropbox or Google Drive.

Despite this size, we do not give up capacity, since its 2TB of storage will be enough for you to store any of your work, with fast transfer speeds taking into account that we are facing a conventional 2,5 ″ disk. It is an ideal option for those who work a lot on their laptop but need much more storage to handle large files, for which they also need high transfer speeds.
