Trick: Chain messages in Mail

Perhaps one of the things that can be missed the most when one goes from using the Gmail web interface to using Mail is the automatic chaining of messages offered by Google's online service, but it is nothing that we cannot solve.

These are the steps to follow:

  1. Go to the mailbox you want to change.
  2. Go to View> Sort by Strings.

Easy and simple, right? Well the truth is that most people don't know. Of course, the Apple system does not seem as good as Gmail, but it is enough from my point of view.

    Hello =)
    I have a doubt ...
    when starting mail…. the messages are not automatically synchronized with Hotmail ... I mean that to receive messages you have to press the receive button as many times as necessary ...
    and if you delete them in Mail ... in Hotmail they are still there ...
    Is there any way to fix this?

    Steven, the automatic synchronization thing should do it for you because if it synchronizes them for me, but deleting them will not do it because you have it configured to download them to your computer.

    Hello,
    I organize my email by chain mail and it is very convenient but I think it has a defect or I do not know how to solve it and it is the following.
    Many times a subject changes the mail of the same conversation and that is when the chain is lost.
    Is there any way to sort emails by contacts? Since sometimes I send and receive emails to the same person with different Issues, worse it is the same topic to be discussed.
    Thank you
