tvOS 11 is now available on Apple's public beta program

At WWDC 2017, Apple announced that users of Apple's public beta program could also begin testing the beta of the Apple TV operating system, tvOS. As usual, Apple released shortly after the end of the event, the first betas of its operating systems, but until yesterday, the public beta program did not go live, at least in part.

And I say partly because for the moment users who are not developers can already install the first public beta of iOS 11 and also the first beta of tvOS 11, as promised by Tim Cook at the event. At the moment macOS Sierra public beta is not available to public beta users. Maybe it will be released today throughout the day.

At the moment Apple had limited the possibility of installing tvOS betas to developers, but two years after its launch it has decided that all users of Apple's public beta program and owners of an Apple TV, can begin to test all the news that will bring the next versions of the tvOS operating system. At the moment the one that continues to be left out of this beta program is the Apple Watch, because it is currently impossible to downgrade if we do not update correctly or if the software is not tuned as it should.

Apple has modified the method by which the Apple TV betas can be installedHence, now any user with average knowledge can perform the update. So far we had to connect the Apple TV to our Mac and download the update through iTunes. With tvOS 11 the process is much simpler, since we just have to sign up for the beta program with the ID of our devices, go to the Apple TV settings and go to the updates. In this section a new option will appear Get updates from public betas, we activate it and that's it.
