The Tweetbot developer allows us to test the beta of Pastebot, an app to manage the clipboard

cakebot

For some time now it seems the clipboard has become essential for users, or at least that is how the interest of Apple seems to demonstrate it, with the universal clipboard that it will launch with macOS Sierra and iOS 10, as that of Microsoft with the application we talked about a few days ago. But it seems that it is not the only one, since the developer of Tweetbot, Tapbots, wants to put his head fully in this new market and surely he will also take advantage of to get money from users, a good reputation this developer has earned in recent years times requesting every two for three money for the updates of their applications.

Tapbots has just launched the public beta program and it is now possible to download the Pastebot application through its website in order to collaborate in the development of the application. Tapbots fans, like my colleague Luis Padilla, will surely remember the iPhone application Pastebot, an app that allowed us to copy text and images between iOS devices and Macs. But this application stopped receiving updates and the developer removed it from the App Store two years ago.

But it seems that Microsoft and Apple's interest in the clipboard, has reawakened the interest of this developer to manage all the elements that we copy to the clipboard. Thanks to Pastebot we can manage all the information that we copy, organize and classify it to always have it available when we need it. This application allows us to store up to 200 items. We can also add applications so that the information we obtain from them, such as the Keychain or 1Password cannot be pasted into this application, even accidentally.

What does not make sense is that the company launches an application for Mac without offering a similar service and that it is synchronized with iCloud on the iPhone or iPad, as if we can do with macOS Sierra and with the Microsoft application that I mentioned above. If you want to try the beta, you just have to go through the following link tapbots.com/pastebot and download it beta. As is logical and Following your traditional system of getting money from users, this application will arrive in its final version as a paid app to the Mac App Store. With free alternatives there is little future for this app, except for fans who love this curious character who always thinks more about his pocket than anything else.
